Successful Eltham Tournament!

14/2 Girls

Congratulations to our 14/2 Girls on Winning the AR/B1 competition in the Australia Day Tournament. With very good contributions from all the players we were able to win 7 from 8 games over 3 days which at times was very tiring for the players as the competiton was of quite a strong standard, but the girls prepared themselves well and remained focussed to the task and got the rewards for their efforts.
I am extremely proud of them as we all should be and now look forward to what should be a fantastic season ahead.
Well Done Girls!!

14/4 Girls

Congratulations also to our 14/4 Girls on Winning the C2 competition in the Eltham Australia Day Tournament
The girls managed to win 7 games out of 8 over the long weekend , highlighted by a hard fought win in the Grand Final over Camberwell.

Our girls played hard as a team, mixing some fun activities in between matches with some great quality basketball. All 10 girls were great contributors over the weekend matches and in both our finals. A huge thanks to all the parents who gave up their time to transport girls to matches, score and support the team.
The girls behaviour, no matter what the score , and their punctuality made the coaches job a delight and is a credit to all parents involved.

Great Job girls !

Under 14 3 Boys

Congratulations to our Under 14(3) Boys side for winning the U/14 BC Y Boys Grand Final in the Eltham/Dandenong Tournament. The boys had a lot of fun together and a very successful weekend. We won 3 of our 6 games; 2 games were lost by 1 point and the 3rd lost by 4 points. The boys played extremely well and were a little excited going into the semi final on Monday morning.

We played a tall Geelong side and had a fantastic win by 9 points. This put us into the Grand Final which we played Monday afternoon at Diamond Valley on Court 1. We came up against Bulleen 5 and played an exceptional match coming through in the end to take out the Tournament Grand Final by 2 points. CONGRATULATIONS 14(3's)!!!!

18 2 Girls

The 18-2 Girls team won the  B1 Division in the Eltham tournament. After a slow start, they increased their intensity and lifted their work rate in defence, which was evidenced by keeping an already VC qualified team to only 9 points for the game. The grand final was played against a much bigger Craigeburn team, which did not phase the girls who were able to take it out 43-27. The highlight of the weekend was the coming of age of a number of the players who lifted their game and laid the foundations for a great season ahead.”
