CONGRATULATIONS TO HERMIT PARK TIGERS
The Hermit park Tigers were victors today over the Thuringowa Bulldogs in the RMS senior grand final. The Tigers were also victors in the Reserves and the Under 16's and the Bulldogs won the under 14's. A massive day for AFL in Townsville. Many Thanks to those that have made the finals series possible with great efforts from the Hermit Park Tigers and the Curra Swans hosting the semi Finals. The Preliminary last week and the Grand Final today at Tony Ireland Stadium. Special mention to Sharon William, John Durkin, Bill Whitburn, Peter Busch, Jonny Freeman, Geoff Toulson, Ian Joyce, Time keepers in Geoff Holman, Bob Hillier and Robert Owen, The Staff at Tony Ireland, Our Sponsors and everyone that played their part in the great game of AFL. A must mention that Jenny Whilshire who will this time be retiring from the Thuringowa Bulldogs as team manager after nearly 20 years. A terrific effort and Jenny and Roy Whilshire are both Bulldogs and AFL Townsville Life Members.
