AFLV Metropolitan Junior Championships

What are AFL Victoria Metropolitan Junior Championships?

Opportunities are given to Under 14 and 15 players to represent the DDJFL in a competition called the AFL Victoria Metropolitan Junior Championships.  Games are played against other metropolitan Victorian leagues over a series of three matches, for a chance to compete in the grand final.

Commitment

To be considered for team selection, players must attend:

  • Training each week
  • Rehabilitation sessions for injured players, and
  • All matches.

Choosing Teams

Players from all clubs are nominated by their coach or invited by the DDJFL to attend a training squad where their skillsets are monitored by observers and coaches.  Numbers are then reduced until final teams are selected.

As a final team needs to be selected, some players won't make the final team. We encourage you to continue developing your skills and to try out again when future opportunities present themselves.

We thank all players for their dedication and willingness to represent the DDJFL.
