PNG Sports Anti-Doping Organisation at the 5th PNG National Games
The Papua New Guinea Anti-Doping Organisation (PNGSADO) in partnership with ORADO organized their first Doping Control Officer (DCO) Training Workshop during the PNG 5th National Games on the 20th-24th November in Kokopo, East New Britain, PNG.
The PNGSADO decided that the 5th PNG National Games in Kokopo was a perfect opportunity to have the DCO Training not only an opportunity for the new DCOs to conduct drug testing but equally important to educate the grass-root sport about the "doping free message".
The PNGSADO selected and recruited 6 individuals from various background to be trained as DCO. The training was facilitated by ORADO Executive Officer, Mrs. Natanya Potoi-Ulia and Australia Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA) experienced DCO, Mr. Graeme Turnbull.
The DCO Training was funded by the PNG Sports Foundation and supported by the PNG Sports Federation and Olympic Committee (PNGSFOC).
