Starting earlier in the year, a number of the team travelled to Coffs Harbour, Australia for a week long training camp with their Mont Dore Club. Spurred on by this visit, coach Charles HaHo embarked on a well planned taining regime for the Junior National girls.
Starting in May, the squad travelled to the furthest northern village in the country, Koumac for a 4 day camp. In July the squad got together in Mont Dore for a 5 day training camp. In September the squad headed north to Poindimie for a 5 day camp and i October, returned to Mont Dore for another 5day camp.
In addition to the whole squad trainings, the players are undertaking 2 hour trainin in their own areas, 3 times per week.
The training program has been very well planned, and includes cardio and weights training as well as basketball skills and plays. It appears the team has left nothing to chance in their preparations.
