Day 5 - Women's Semi Final - New Zealand 67 def Guam 38

The game started slowly, both of the teams played offensively. Even though it was 28 degrees in the stadium, both teams still tried their hardest.

The first quarter ended with New Zealand leading by 6 points (18-12), the Guam girls fought really hard and scored some great goals.

The Guam girls were very fast, and always had the ball, but the New Zealand girls were taller than them, and always blocked the Guam girls from shooting. the New Zealand girls dominated in the second quarter, winning by 16 points. (40-26) It was an intense second quarter, both teams performed really well.

The third quarter started off fairly quickly with both teams playing strong defence and trying their hardest, New Zealand fought hard and shot many goals and had very accurate shooting, Guam fought hard to score their own goals and tried their best to stop New Zealand’s shooting and played really hard defence.

Not once did Guam let their guard down and they didn’t stop fighting New Zealand and trying to win, the end of quarter scores were New Zealand on 47 to Guam 30.

After a tough battle in the third quarter, the New Zealand girls were leading by 20 points (50 – 30), and the Guam girls are slowly catching up.

After an intense game, the New Zealand girls won by 28 points (67-38), it was a solid effort for both of the teams. The Guam girls were really fast, but the New Zealand girls beat them in tactics and shooting accuracy.
