With the size of North's front court, this was always going to a tough game for the undersized Mavericks. Eastern's first quarter was solid, but a 25-14 second quarter set up the win for North. Dusty Rychart finished with 11 rebounds and Ben Groves had 8 assists for North, while Phil Modra had 10 rebounds and Stephen Williams had 7 assists for Eastern.

Southern Tigers 75 (D. Lalic 21, B. Hodges 11, B. Gerlach 10)

Sabre coach Liam Flynn had his team playing tough defence, holding Southern to 13 points in the first quarter and 16 in the second to set up a 10 point lead at half time. Sturt pulled away further in the third and fourth, with contributions from Marcus Ng on the scoreboard and brother Darren as a distributor. Jordan Dodman continued to emerge as an NBL-calibre player, picking up 26 points at 78%. For the Tigers, Daniel Lalic and Ben Hodges were effective, but Southern was out-rebounded 42-28 for the game.

West Adelaide Bearcats 116 (K. Davis 23, B. Truslove 22, R. Craddock 20)
Central Districts Lions 109 (J. Graves 32, J. Clayton 25, M. Atkins 19)

From the high of last week's win against North, to the low of yesterday's loss to Sturt, West were prepared for another tough game against Centrals. In a high scoring affair, both teams scored over 25 points in each of the four quarters, but it was the slightly more consistent Bearcats that held on for the win. Kris Davis' points came at 66%, and he also had 13 rebounds. Jarrod Graves was impressive in a losing effort, as was the consistent Mark Egel who had 13 rebounds.

South Adelaide Panthers 81 (L. Smith 18, T. McKenzie 15, S. Pilkington 12)

No team has been within 20 points of Norwood and this game was no exception. Lucas Smith and Tom McKenzie continued their form from the previous night, but some stellar three point shooting from a number of Flames blew the game open in the second quarter. Todd Matthews was instrumental in the victory, as were Dan Thompson and Corey Ottey.
