"Nicauris Toledo" Basketball of Aruba is mourning

Basketball of Aruba is mourning the loss of one of its best players. Nicauris Toledo aka Nico was a key player for his club and the Aruban seleccion.

On behalf of the Aruba Basketball Federation, members and basketball players our deepest condolences to the family of Nico.
May Nico rest in peace.

From Carlos Benjamin; "Nico, To have lived and played the game with the heart of champion, with your greatness and extraordinary talent, those are prodigious opportunities given to the sport. Its hard to believe you were just doing it all for fun. But in so doing unwilling, unknowing or un-intentionally you become a legend in the process. Now that untouchable, no one can ever change that or take that away from you or us. But, they will try..and with every attempt you will be remembered and honored. That's the games will continue for your sake."

From your coaches, your boys of Young Legends aka Young Ling and the entire Y-Family;

"Nico, you have been in the midst of us and we greatly appreciate that we got the opportunity to be a basketball family.

The path of life lead you to be a humble person that has touched the life of the young, adults and the elders. You have always lived life with a driven passion and so doing you inspired many to look up to you and adults to admire you. With your passionate spirit you played your favorite sport, always in one or the other way wanting for the whole team to excel together with you. Nico we of Young Legends aka Young Ling will greatly miss you, it will never be the same without our young Toledo…

The verse John 10:27-29 “reassures us that no man can snatch a child of God out of His hands,” That is why we know that you’re in God’s hands, where you belong. Therefore we say until we meet again our MVP our nr 4. The Young Legend!"

Nico forever and always in our hearts ...may you rest in peace.
