The Vanuatu Tennis Federation has sent a big Junior Tennis Team that departed on Saturday for Lautoka in Fiji to take part in the West Pacific Qualifiers that will be played this week.

5th edition of the Noumea international athletics meeting

Patrick IARUEL participation in the 5th edition of the Noumea international athletics meeting (in DALY stadium).

For the first time of his recent athletic career, Patrick IARUEL, licensee in "AC PAITA" , ran a 3000m men race in the big Numa DALY stadium (Noumea), Saturday, October, 6th.
He ran this race in 11mn 11 sec and 76. He finished in the 4th place behind 2 performance runners, who participated in the last Olympic Games,

Table tennis has become a growing sport in Vanuatu, and Anolyn Lulu's Olympic journey has inspired many back at home to become engaged in the sport. She explains to us the impact that her coaching back at home has had on the initiative for table tennis, how it has inspired youth such as Yoshua Shing, who at the age of 12, became the youngest competitor in the 2006 Commonwealth Games. Therefore, the legacy of table tennis in Vanuatu, inspired by Anolyn, will continue to pave a way for future athletes to compete internationally.

On Wednesday 25th July, it was the Oceania Welcome Ceremony for the Pacific athletes, held in London at The Scoop. The ceremony showed the unification of their athletes, The Scoop was filled with the most vibrant coloured uniforms. There was a buzz of excitement as it is only a few days before the beginning of the Olympic Games.
