To the forgotten heroes of junior football, this one is for you.
Big well done to all team managers throughout the season and thank you for getting all of those little jobs allocated, doing the jobs that didn't get filled and getting the match documentation in at the end of the day.
For most of you not involved in the Year 8 or Year 10 competitions, you can have the weekend off. But for the team managers involved in the finals series, here's some information to explain what's going on.
For the semi and preliminary finals, it's mostly business as usual. The Association will not be providing boundary or goal umpires for the semi or preliminary finals; just the grand final. So could each team please find someone to run the boundary and waive the flags.
Team sheets will need to be submitted. Please go into Sportingpulse to complete and print off a team sheet just like any other week of footy. The Association will provide the other match documentation (match report, score cards) on the day.
Please hand your team sheets to a match official at the ground before the start of play. At Lou Weston Oval, that should be Wesley Johnston. At Bovell Park, please hand the team sheet to Andrew Scott.
No need to post the documentation as the match official can deal with it, so that is one job you won't have to worry about.
Good luck and please encourage for the games to be played in the right spirit.
