Round 18 - Jake Timms - Hampton

This weeks Shooting Star nominee is Jake Timms from the Hampton FC. Jake joined the Hammers at the beginning of season 2008 and has played two full season with the Colts includng the 2008 Grand Final. Jake took on the captaincy this season and has led from the front all year and was rewarded by selection in the Senior team a few weeks ago. Jake's game gets better each week and all at the "Toolbox" will be watching closely as Jake's senior career unfolds.

Round 17 - Ryan Hart - Skye

This weeks Shooting Star nominee is Ryan Hart from the Skye FC. Ryan has been a consistant player for the Colts during season 2009 and has been called up to the Senior team on three occasions. Against the Doveton Eagles in Round 6 Ryan was voted best a field and certainly impressed the senior coaches. Ryan has kicked 11 goals for the Colts this year.

Round 16 - Hicham Nidam - St Kilda City

Hicham Nidam is an impressive young midfielder with an instinctive style of play that finds him in  the "right place at the right time". Hicham a left-footer can find the space and run the ball which has seen him credited with 12 goals for the season and attract votes in several games. "Mini Bruno" has played in the seniors this year and will be one that the Saints will want to keep.


Round 15 - Matt Ravenall - Dingley

Matt Ravenall is this weeks Leader Shooting Star nominee. Matt is proving to be the ever reliable defensive player with strong hands and a pacey run out of the backline. Matt contributes week in week out and has attracted votes in all but 3 matches this season. Matt will be looking forward to continuing his good form with the Dingoes during the final series. Congratulations Matt!


Round 14 - Shaun Thompson - Murrumbeena

This weeks Shooting Star nominee will go down in the history books for kicking an incredible 21 GOALS during last weeks Colts match against Mordialloc. Shaun has rocketed into second position on the Colts leaderboard 5 behind the leader. Shaun was named" Best on Ground"for his efforts and has been a consistant performer for the Beena Lions.

Round 13 - Sam Fox - Skye

Sam is proving more dominant week in week out for the Skye Colts. Sam features regularly in the votes and was included in the SFL Interleague Colts squad earlier this year. The 17 year old recruited from Carrum Downs JFC has a great future and will be one to watch during the final series.

Round 12 - Will Chum - St Pauls

Will has been a consistant contributor to date with his tenacious style of play being likened to that of ex- AFL player Greg Williams. Will came to St Pauls this year from St Bedes/Mentone Tigers and has kicked 10 goals for the season. The SFL Interleague squad member has impressive ball skills and is a great asset to the Doggies!

Round 11 - Matt Hoy - Mordialloc

Matt is a great competitor and thrives on challenge taking on bigger and stronger opponents each week. He is a fearless on baller - consistent on both sides of his body. Matt shows great leadership qualities and has already had a taste of senior footy.

Round 10 - James Spicer - Chelsea Heights

James is this weeks Leader Shooting Star award nomination for his consistent performances week to week in the Chelsea Heights Colts. James has featured regularly in the best players and is a handy contributor with 11 goals to date. James is a player who can easily be recognised with the Naitanui locks! Congratulations James!


Round 9 - Nathan Pulham - Narre Nth Foxes

Nathan has been a consistant performer for the Narre North Foxes in season 2009. Featuring in the best players week after week Nathan has played in every game for the Foxes and has contributed a handy 15 goals to date. Nathan, an SFL Colts Interleague squad member is a player to keep an eye on when playing the Foxes.

Round 8 - Tim Lawson - Cheltenham

Tim Lawson an SFL Colts squad representative has had an impressive first half to the season. Tim has attracted votes in six games and has kicked 5 goals. Tim played with the Cheltenham Cockatoos in 2008 and will be a player to watch advance through the ranks with the Rosellas.

Round 7 - Josh Tempany - Hampton

Josh Tempany is proving his consistency as  a player with the Hampton Colts. Josh has featured in the best players each week and has been rewarded with a call up to the Seniors. Josh had a "day out" against Mordialloc kicking 7 goals and is this weeks" Leader Shooting Star". Congratulations Josh!


Round 6 - Albin Swahn - Highett

Albin is enjoying the opportunity to experience AFL footy and is a popular member of the Highett Colts. Albin a Swedish Rotary Exchange student living in Brighton and attending Bentleigh Secondary College- in his first game was instructed to "run down that end and kick the ball through the big sticks" he did exactly that and doubled his efforts the next week and kicked 2 goals! Congratulations Albin!


Round 5 - Luke Scott - Skye

A tenacious in and under utility player for the Skye Colts - Luke has been impressive to date and has been selected in the interleague squad for 2009. With exceptional foot skills and the ability to "hit a target up forward" Luke is this week's Leader Shooting Star. Congratulations Luke!


Round 4 - Declan Harrington - St Kilda City

Declan Harrington is fast becoming the "Nick Riewoldt" of the Colts competition. Dec is leading the goalkicking after four rounds with 16 goals. Last Saturday he was among the best against Cheltenham with 4 goals. Congratulations Declan


Round 3 - Keiran Knox - St Pauls East Bentleigh

Keiran was so impressive in his Round 1 Colts match that he has played the last two rounds in the seniors for St Pauls. Last week against St Kilda City he was in all the right places, kicked a goal and attracted votes. Congratulations Keiran


Round 2 - Cameron Walker - Beena Lions

Cameron son of Murrumbeena life members Warren & Jacqui Walker was impressive last week during a convincing win for the Beena Lions against Highett. The future looks promising for Cameron with the" Beena" who might outdo his Dads 300 games.


Round 1 - Andrew Bruce - Dingley

Andrew "Monster" Bruce celebrated his 18th birthday with four goals against Mordialloc in Round 1. Andrew is closing in on 150 games with Dingley FC since starting his career in the Under 9's. Congratulations Andrew
