National League
The inaugural ARUK Walkabout National League commenced its first season in 2007. It was a huge success and the League is now the largest in Europe.

The season runs from April to August. All matches are 9-a-side and played on rugby sized grounds.

In 2009 17 clubs will be competing in 3 Divisions - North, Central and Southern. Each club is encouraged to affiliate with an existing rugby club.

Such affiliation gives each Aussie Rules club access to a playing field and good facilities for players and supporters, including changing rooms, toilets, showers and a bar. Having such facilities is vital if Australian football is to grow and develop in the UK.

Each club is encouraged (when they are ready) to develop juniors. Clubs that are active in this area will receive full support from Aussie Rules UK, including resources such as footballs and jumpers.

The emphasis in the ARUK Walkabout National League is to create more clubs outside London. This helps to significantly reduce travel, which has proved such a burden to non-London based clubs in the past.
