Competition Controller Position(s)
Basketball is played almost every night of the school week in one of more venues in Napier, Hastings and Taradale. Each night is managed by a paid competitions controller.
We are seeking applications from people interested in performing the role of competition controller forone or more days and/or venues.
People appointed to the position will be offered a contract for service school term by school term.
The competition controller is required to set up the venue, manage each night’s competition, put away equipment and secure the venue. The role does have some administrative requirements.
The ideal person will:
- Have knowledge and understanding of sports competition operation.
- Be of good character without a criminal record or criminal action pending and be willing to submit to a background investigation including a referee check.
- Have good communication skills and be able to manage conflict
- Be capable of moving equipment portable hoops
