Junior Hoops Programme

The Junior Hoops activities are designed to assist players to develop their basketball game in a fun setting under expert guidance.

Basketball Hawke’s Bay’s Development Coaches will run weekly basketball sessions in  Hastings and Napier for primary and Intermediate school pupils.

Our goal is to give kids the opportunity to develop and refine their basketball skills in a positive, fun and well-organised learning environment. The programs are geared toward fundamental development in the following areas: shooting, passing, dribbling, defence, rebounding, team play, and more.

Each and every participant gets the individual coaching they need to develop and will have an opportunity to achieve the Gold, Silver or Bronze skills awards.

The programme assists the players to gain an improved positive attitude, a greater appreciation for good moral values, and a better understanding of the keys that will lead to their own success. The sport is basketball, but the most important element is the children's future development.

All venues will run for 8 weeks.

Monday Hastings (starts 24 February)

Hastings Sports Centre 3:45 to 4:45pm

Tuesday Napier (starts 25 February)

Colenso College 4:00 to 5:00 pm

Friday Havelock North (starts 21 February)

Havelock North High School 3.45 to 4.45pm

Cost $40.00 for 8 sessions or $10.00 per session

 

Payment can be made by cash or cheque at our office at 96A
