Theo Tait Appointed as our Programme Manager
We are pleased to announce that Theo N Tait has been appointed Programme Manager for Basketball Hawkes Bay and in this role will manage and lead player and coach development in Hawkes Bay.
Over the past 4 years the number of teams entering competitions increased to 876 in 2014 and is expected to exceed 1000 this year.
This growth has required us to re-look at how we delivered our player and coach development programmes to develop players and coaches.
In his new role Theo will ensure that Basketball Hawkes Bay has the right programmes in place, staffed by trained and competent coaches to provide coach and player development from entry to representative level.
Included in Theo’s team will be Clifton Bush who will have a hands on programme quality and delivery role.
We are fortunate to have Theo on staff because he has a wealth of great experience. He has coached and mentored coaches at New Zealand age level, run and organised community player and coach development programmes. Over the last few years he has also been assistant coach to New Zealand’s most successful coach, Tab Baldwin. Tab continues to be Theo’s mentor.
