GRAND HOTEL BACKS WARRANDYTE BASKETBALL
Two of Warrandyte’s oldest and most popular operations have come together in a long-term deal that will benefit the local community with Warrandyte Basketball proud to announce and welcome Grand Hotel Warrandyte as a Major Sponsor for at least the next three years.
Adding to a number of other local businesses that support the club, the Grand Hotel Warrandyte will be heavily involved with the club’s senior program, including exclusive sponsorship of the Warrandyte Venom’s senior coaching staff across all four of their Big V state league teams.
Grand Hotel Warrandyte’s General Manager, Peter Appleby, stressed the importance of local support when announcing the sponsorship.
“There is a real need for community relationships and the Grand Hotel is committed to being a part of Warrandyte Basketball’s future. We feel the utmost importance for places like Warrandyte to have strong bonds between local business’ and sporting groups,” said Appleby.
“We are very proud to be a part of the club, it will be a strong partnership, and we look forward to a rewarding future for both parties as well as the wider community. We are looking forward to providing a home away from home for the basketball club for all to enjoy our facilities and offerings.”
Warrandyte Basketball’s General Manager, Justin Nelson, echoed Mr Appleby’s sentiments and said the commitment by the Grand Hotel was yet another sign that the Warrandyte community is first class when it comes to supporting each other.
“For many years we have enjoyed wonderful support from the likes of Gardiner McInnes, All Over Bins, Ruby Tuesday and Rob Cousens, all strong local businesses with a view to supporting the community. To now have the Grand Hotel join us is fantastic and we see them quickly becoming a major part of the club, especially for functions and events,” said Nelson.
“Peter and his team have done a tremendous job in taking the Grand Hotel to the next level, especially with fine dining and entertainment. We want to ensure our club events remain in Warrandyte and with more than a thousand members we needed a partner that could help accommodate us. Obviously we looked no further than the Grand Hotel.
“Best of all, this sponsorship is about community helping community and from our perspective at the club, that’s the best sponsorship you can have,” added Nelson.
