Venom Women Too Good For Blackburn
Led by Sally Phillips, Jaz Borella, Chelsea Ransom and Janelle Lucas, the Venom overcame a slow start to regsiter the win, with the likes of Lauren Sabidussi and Casey Taylor turning in good performances along with a host of younger, developing players.
At just 15, Taylor is one of the youngest players in the squad yet her performance against the Vikings was one packed with maturity and it drew warm applause from her teammates.
Borella continued to show her defensive skills and stepped up to post a good return at the offensive end, while the skills and work ethic of Phillips, Ransom and Lucas continue to impress.
Next up for the team are four games this week at the Big V pre-season tournament against Coburg, Latrobe City, Sunbury and Hawthorn.
Venom's Big V season commences on Saturday March 21 at home against Hawthorn.
