Clinics in Inner West

Term 3 has once again been a busy time of year for the schools of the Inner West. Although the constant threat of rainplayed havoc with organising clinics and gala days, it didn’t deter the enthusiasm of the participants.

Traditional Rugby League schools such as La Salle College organised clinics for their students while newer schools, St Euphemia College, East Hills Boys HS, Bankstown Grammar, Christian Community HS, Ryde Secondary and St Mark’s College, continued to give their students a taste of Rugby League. This has lead to most of the schools committing to entering teams in gala days and
competitions for the 2010 season.

The girl’s schools didn’t miss out on the action either with Mount Saint Joseph’s, Domremy College and Santa Sabina
College all participating in clinics which have now become an annual event for some of their lucky students.

Some schools also participated in Rugby League events within the classroom with Bass HS putting their Year 10 & 11 students through a MGC Coaching Course and Christian Community HS taking their 2 Year 9 classes through a League Safe course. Hopefully students from both schools will take their newly learnt skills into the Rugby League landscape coaching and delivery first aid to the new generations of players coming through.
