Annual General Meeting - January 2013

The Annual General Meeting and Bar B Que was held on Sunday morning, January 20, 2013.

The meeting was well attended and I thank all referees present for their enthusiasm and willingness to take part in the quick rules review by Sharon Arnold, the work out and information session with fitness coach Tim Mulhall and the BBQ prepared by Lynda Spicer.

The four positions on the Technical Official's Committee were declared vacant by Mal Allison, president of Kilsyth Basketball who chaired the meeting. These positions received enthusiastic nominations from the floor as only one nomination was received by the cut off date, being Geoff Adams.

Geoff Adams was declared a committee member and a vote was required for the remaining three positions. Nominees for the three positions were Prue Green, Ken Spratt, Riley Brown, Corey Morgan and Russell Menzies.

The very close vote resulted in Riley Brown, Ken Spratt and Russell Menzies filling the remaining positions.

So if any referee has an issue they believe needs attention, approch one of these four committee members, one of the administrators, Sharon Arnold or myself, Barry Spicer. We may be able to solve your problem straight away or we can take it to the TOC meeting for further attention.

During the meeting, workout with Tim and BBQ three $50.00 vouchers were raffled and won by Trish Hampton, Mitch Dielemans and Jeremy Doyle. Also raffled at the BBQ were 15 cans of Sustagen so many of the attending referees took home a reward for attending.

A big THANK YOU to all those referees attending and most had a bit of fun while they were at it.
