While recently looking at the 1979 SFL guide book I came across what would be the equal-lowest score kicked in a senior match. It was kicked by the lowly Ouyen team against Robinvale on July 28, 1979. Ouyen scored just 6 behinds (0.6.6), equal with South Mildura's 1.0.6 kicked against Imperials on 14/8/04. The Ouyen score has obviously been forgotten by league historians regarding the lowest score kicked in a senior match, and it has also escaped my sharp eye until now. In a guide two years ago (14/7/07) it stated that Merbein's 1.5.11 against Imps in 1995 was the lowest, but I quickly set the record straight by producing the 2004 South Mildura score and three others that were lower than Merbein's 1.5.11. Well now we know that the lowest score kicked in a senior match is held by both Ouyen and South Mildura.

Lately I have been looking up some of the huge scores kicked in SFL senior matches since 1976. The biggest score on record is 298 by Wentworth, but over the years there have been many more mammoth scores kicked in senior matches. Here are the scores that have topped 230 since 1976.
