Sport and recreation funding
The Minister for National Parks, Recreation, Sport and Racing, the Honourable Steve Dickson MP, is pleased to invite your organisation to a FREE information session on Get in the Game – three new funding programs to support sport and recreation at the grassroots level.
Get Started will assist children and young people who can least afford or may otherwise benefit to join a sport or recreation club by providing vouchers of up to $150 to help pay for membership or participation fees.
Get Going will provide funding of up to $10,000 for items and activities to assist clubs in attracting members.
Get Playing will provide funding of up to $100,000 to sport and recreation organisations for facility development.
Sport and recreation organisations in the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay and Gympie Regional Council areas are invited to attend an information session to learn about the new funding programs.
The sessions will be held in:
• Caloundra on Wednesday 3 October 2012
• Buderim on Monday 8 October 2012

Comment Guidelines: The SportingPulse Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
