The Wanderers (Qld) Club Inc. has a long tradition of playing an annual cricket match against the GPS Combined 1st XI Representative Team.

Successful performance on a team and individual level at this event provides GPS school boys with an opportunity to progress through the representative Cricket pathway that exists within Queensland.

In 2010, Queensland Cricket invited the GPS Association to participate in a new initiative to provide a competition opportunity for the Queensland Junior Cricket (QJC) Under 16 Development Team to play against another selected GPS Combined 1st XI Cricket Team in a series of matches in different formats. We've continued to play an annual match since then!
