Reed signs for two years
Scott Reed (18) has signed a two-year deal with the Collingwood Football Club as a NSW Rookie listed-player.
The 192 centimetre forward/midfielder from Pennant Hills was signed as the Magpies first ever NSW-scholarship player in 2006. His form over the course of three years improved to the point where it warranted a contract from the club.

West Coast harvests more NSW talent
The West Coast Eagles have continued their drive to secure elite young talent under the NSW scholarship program, by signing another multi-talented star, 17-year-old Kieran Emery.
Kieran, a 195cm key position player, is also a keen cricketer who was selected in the NSW under-17 team. He began playing Australian football only last year but in just 20 games has shown a keen aptitude for the sport.

Broken Hill pair join Hawks
Hawthorn Football Club have completed the signing of talented Broken Hill youngsters Heath Caldwell and Dylan Stuart under the AFL Scholarship Scheme.
As part of the scheme, both Caldwell and Stuart will receive a $10,000 scholarship fund committed to the boys’ education and football development, and will receive specialised coaching by the Club.
The Magpies secured the signatures of Michael Hartley and Jarrod Witts earlier this week, with the pair joining Scott Reed, Tom Young and Nick Perry as potential future Collingwood players.

The Vodafone Brisbane Lions are pleased to announce the signing of 17 year-old Jack Lawson as the club's second New South Wales AFL Scholarship player for 2008.

NORTH Melbourne has secured its second NSW/ACT Scholarship player after recruiting manager Neville Stibbard won the signature of North Shore Bombers midfielder Lachlan Pryor earlier this month.
The 17-year-old Sydney schoolboy joins James Wilsen as one of two players to be taken by the Kangaroos via the AFL's scholarship system following several strong performances during the NSW/ACT Under-18 zone trials held in Coffs Harbour last month.

2008 could not have started any better for South Coast talent Sam Martyn who has received an AFL Scholarship to the Adelaide Crows.
In only his first full year of AFL football, the 15 year old Merimbula local impressed many at the Rising Rams Camp held late last year at the Sydney Academy of Sport recording some first class testing results.
