Capitals tear up 20's National Championship

The following players were part of the Silver medal winning QLD U/20 Men's team who went down in a battle of David and Goliath in which the undersized Queensland men faced the undefeated Victoria men, earlier in the rounds they had gone down by 34. But in the final the boys held nothing back and went for broke, leading at half time to the shock of the Victorians, the second half saw both teams trade baskets, in the closing minutes the Victorians got on a roll and ultimately won by 7, in a thriller.

The QLD U/20 Women came away with a Bronze medal after finishing with a record of 3-3 to qualify for the 3rd playoff final. After suffering a defeat in the round games to SA by 41 points, the girls showed true Queenslander spirit to defeat SA by 6 when it counted most. In a game where QLD continued to make shots whenever SA looked to make a run, the confidence of the girls shone through shooting at 46% for the game and to knock down 8 more 3 pointers than the South Australians. The Capitals were represented by:
