Brisbane Capitals Senior Representative program is pleased to announce trial dates for the upcoming 2015/16 Representative Season.

These trials are for the Under 21 BQJBC season (September 2015 - March 2016).

This year the association will nominate teams of 10 players in both the Men & Women Under 21 age group.

With respect to costs – indicatively the program fee will be circa $400 per player (Note: The program fee is not reflective of a formal commitment to manage equal court time.)

Eligibility and Transfer Requirements

Players are required to meet BBI eligibility requirements as outlined below:

Any player who wishes to represent the Brisbane Capitals in the U21 representative season that commences after the Championship Season MUST:

• Be registered with BBI and a BBI Club and playing in the BBJBC Championship Season within their correct Age Group as per the calendar year

The ONLY exemption, which will also be assessed by the BBI General Manager, is when a player moves from a Queensland location outside a radius of 100 kilometre from the BBI office at Auchenflower, from a state outside of Queensland or from a country outside of Australia. If an exemption is granted the player must immediately join a BBI Club.

It is important to restate that all players who played for another association last year MUST have a completed "BQ Permission to Trial" form or a full clearance from their last association (approved by BQ) prior to commencing trials ( even if this was more than 12 months ago). If this approval is not completed and provided to the association the player will not be allowed to trial. The penalty from Basketball Queensland for a breach of this rule is $200 and the player will be ineligible to play for 3 months.

Trial details are as follows

• $30 trial fee ( GST and online fee inclusive) for 3 trials

• On conclusion of the third trial a team will be named and posted to the BBI website
• Selected players should prepare to practice once per week and up to twice per week as competition gets closer.

 

2015/16 TRIAL DETAILS

Under 21 Men
• Trial #1 – Sunday August 23rd: NAB Stadium Crt 4 (1.00pm – 2.45pm)
• Trial #2 – Thursday August 27th: Wavell State High School (7.30pm – 9.00pm)
• Trial #3 – Thursday September 3rd: Wavell State High School (7.30pm – 9.00pm)

Men's practice sessions are likely to be held on Thursday evenings (7.30 - 9.00pm).

Under 21 Women
• Trial #1 – Monday August 31st: BBC (7.30pm - 9.00pm)
• Trial #2 – Monday September 7th: BBC (7.30pm - 9.00pm)
• Trial #3 – Monday September 14th: BBC (7.30pm - 9.00pm)

Women's practice session will be held at BBC on Monday evenings (7.30 - 9.00pm)
