Referees Information

The referee's role is to administer the rules of basketball and set interpretations of these rules and laws with impartiality, accuracy and understanding, which will facilitate the players' exhibition of their optimum skills. The referee's reward for excellence will not be fame, but the respect and confidence of players and officials along with the knowledge that his or her efforts have advanced the progress of the sport. To embark on a refereeing career without the lust for knowledge and love of the game, must certainly mean frustration for all.
