SportsPower MSBL Grand Final Referees Announced
The State Basketball League is pleased to announce David Bull and Peter Houghton as the SportsPower referees for the MSBL Grand Final between the Geraldton Buccaneers and East Perth Eagles this Saturday night at the WA Basketball Centre.
Both Bull and Houghton are heavily experienced at the national level and between them have received nine SBL referee of the year awards throughout their careers.
Damian Lyons will hold the reserve position for the game after a number of international appointments and a stint in the United States refereeing the NBA Summer League.
“We are blessed to have such a high calibre of referees like David Bull, Peter Houghton, Damian Lyons and Bret Campbell in our league” said SBL General Manager Adam Bowler.
“All four guys play an important role for us, using their leadership and experience to not only offer the league some of the best refereeing in the country, but also dedicate an enormous amount of time in helping develop the younger referees coming through”.
On behalf of the State Basketball League we would like to congratulate David, Peter and Damian on their Grand Final appointments for 2014.
