New Women's SBL Assistant Coach
East Perth District Basketball Association (EPDBA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Darren Srdarev as Assistant Coach of the Australian Central Eagles’ Women which compete in the Western Australian State Basketball League (SBL).
Darren has been involved in coaching Basketball at various levels for the past 17 years and in 2009 was game day Assistant Coach for the Australian Central Eagles Men.
Darren brings experience in Human Resources Management & Training as well as qualifications in Personal Training which will compliment Head Coach, Anthony Fletcher and Assistant Coach, Alicia Churchin who have recently been re-appointed.
Head Coach Anthony Fletcher said “I am excited to have Darren on board as one of my assistants and I am looking forward to working with Darren and Alicia on improving the team’s results, particularly those achieved in the later half of the season when we won nine of the last 12 games.”
Commenting on the appointment, EPDBA Managing Director, Brett Nazzari said “East Perth District Basketball Association is pleased with the appointment of Darren as Assistant to Anthony for the 2010 season, particularly after his experience last season as game day assistant for the Men’s team."
"It is exciting for the Association to be able to provide opportunities for someone of Darren’s calibre to continue to develop as a coach within the East Perth District Basketball Association.”
