Reward for stellar season

Jarrad Prue departs for China on Thursday November 12th for a two week basketball tour with Andrew Gaze’s touring Melbourne Tigers squad.

Jarrad had an exceptional year in 2009, as the Captain of the Lakeside Lightning championship team he had the honour of holding the cup aloft in August. He also added his fourth rebounding title, and was awarded highest field goal percentage for the 2nd time in his relatively short career.

During his weekly radio interview coach Andy Stewart stated in reference to Jarrad’s invitation to join the tigers, "This is a well deserved reward for an excellent year and a lot of hard work."

Prue will join Wildcat squad member Marko Deric as the two Western Australian based players to join the ABA Allstar team. Other names well known in WA basketball circles are ex St Mary’s college player and Rockingham Flames standout Carlin Hughes and Kalgoorlie Big man Brent Hobba.

The tour is an annual event and is for 2 weeks.
