AIA Defeat Lightning

A Solid crowd including numerous SBL Coaches witnessed a strong first up performance by the touring Athletes in Action as they defeated a Lakeside combination team 81 to 55 in North Lake last night.

Justin Brown dominated for Lakeside with 10 points up to half time as Lakeside restricted the visitors to a slight 3 point margin going into the third.

Casey Crevelone and Andrew Stimson put on and incredible shooting display in the third quarter piling on 12 and 7 points respectively to see the AIA team jump to a 21 point lead. The visitor’s bigs Matt Smith and John Vaudreuil also restricted Justin Brown and Bryce Burch to 7 points for the entire 2nd half to set up the 26 point win.

Off Guard Rob Eldridge injured his knee towards the end of the first quarter and took no further part in the game.

The Tourists now take on the State Under 20’s at Perry Lakes at 7pm Friday night before scrimmaging the Wildcats during their training session on Monday morning, also at Perry Lakes.
