See Lauren Jackson Return Live Online

The Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL) breaks new ground tomorrow night with the first live video streaming broadcast of a league game, allowing fans to see superstar Lauren Jackson in her first appearance of the season.

The National Basketball League (NBL) has had great success with live video streaming this season and the team bringing tomorrow night’s broadcast to you, Local Media Services Company (LMSC), produces the live video streaming of home games for the Perth Wildcats.

Basketball Australia’s General Manager of National Teams and Competitions, Lorraine Landon, said the broadcast is a great chance for national and international fans to enjoy the game.

“This is an excellent opportunity to showcase the return of Lauren Jackson to the WNBL and is a great initiative by LMSC,” she said.

Live video streaming of tomorrow night’s clash between the Perth Lynx and Canberra Capitals tips off at 10.15pm AEDT on www.lmsctv.com, direct from Perry Lakes Stadium, the home of the Perth Lynx.

The game marks Jackson’s first appearance in the league since the 2005/06 Grand Final, when she was named Grand Final MVP after winning the championship with the Capitals.

The four-time WNBL MVP signed with Canberra two weeks ago and will make her season debut tomorrow night after recovering from a back injury.

With Canberra currently sitting in fifth place on the league ladder, Jackson’s return significantly lifts the Capitals chances of defending the crown they won in March of this year.

LMSC is a media partner of the Perth Lynx and won the 2008/09 WNBL Media Award for Best Online Coverage. The WA-based company continues to produce previews, game reports and images from Lynx games as well as video highlights and interviews with coaches and players throughout the season.

LMSC plans to provide its live video streaming for free for the remaining Perth Lynx games in the 2009/10 season.

To access the live video streaming go to www.lmsctv.com or click here from 10.15pm AEDT Saturday 12 December. The game tips off locally in Western Australia at 7.30pm.
