Big American import to add magic (From Mandurah Mail

MANDURAH Magic will have a 6’5-tall American import to help them climb the ladder in the upcoming State Basketball League season.

Max Hunter, who hails from Kentucky in the United States, has a wealth of basketball experience and landed in Australian last Monday.

The 25-year-old power forward is a versatile player who loves to post up and do the dirty work inside the key.

A greater passer from all areas of the court, men’s coach Jason Chalk said Hunter would help other players improve their games and also help the club record more wins.

Last season he played college ball with the Union Bulldogs and averaged 17 points and 11 rebounds per game.

Hunter spent two seasons playing professionally in the Kentucky Basketball Academy and is highly regarded by Chalk.

Originally Hunter was approached to join the Giants but the club already had two imports so the Magic jumped on him.
