Things looking up for Magic Men

THINGS are looking up for the Mandurah Magic’s men’s team in the State Basketball League.

After the team has struggled for wins in recent years the good news is they have already claimed two wins in the 2010 competition – and the season is only three rounds old.

The Mandurah boys actually played two games last weekend – losing 90-77 to the East Perth Eagles at the Morley Sport and Recreation Centre on Friday night.

In this game Tom Remmerswaal was in good touch with 23 points while Casey Crevelone put 10 points next to his name.

On Saturday night, in front of their home crowd at the Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre, Mandurah defeated the Rockingham Flames 96-76.

Their 20-point win was set up by a strong 27-12 opening term and they never looked back.

Crevelone was in much better form in this game with an impressive 27 points while Josh Lee hit 20 and Remmerswaal scored 17.

More details of the round will appear in the Mandurah Mail on Thursday and at www.mandurahmail.com.au later in the week.
