Mihovilovich returns to her best

After a reduced impact during 2009 due to the birth of her first child Casey Mihovilovich has returned to her best in 2010 to help the Magic women continue their winning form. After already claiming two SBL player of the week awards Milo has been a rock for her beloved Mandurah Magic Women in 2010.

Milo has been averaging 20 points per game while shootng at 42% from the field and 79% from the free throw line. To add to her all round game she has been adding 4.5 assists per game, 7 rebounds per game and a league leading 4 steals per game.

Milo started playing basketball when she was six years old with her big sister for Greenfields Primary School. Over the course of her career Milo has had many highlights some of which she lists as Making four SBL Grand Finals, being a Life Member of the Mandurah Magic, winning the MVP for the Mandurah Magic women's team, playing for the Perth Lynx in the WNBL and winning their Defensive Player of the Year Award.

Whilst playing for the Lynx Milo said that it was an experience having to juggle the hard work of training and playing commitments with work and personal life. However the honour of playing in the best league in the country was an opportunity she will never forget.

Still believing she has plenty of improvement in her game having not yet gotten the best out of herself Milo will continue to train and prepare herself for the season and games like a true professional. During the pre season Milo ensures that she gets as fit as possible, this year that involved triathlons and playing as much basketball as possible in the off season.

Milo has a number of fond memories and views of the Magic organisation such as meeting her partner and father of her son Ben Caporn (men's captain), meeting friends and being a part of the team culture. Milo also takes her hat off to the volunteers who have run the club in the past and who continue to run the club as we know it today.

After basketball Milo hopes to continue to be involved in the game and also to continue to do the triathlons she started this off season. Basketball has taught her so much about time management, commitment, discipline, hard work, and goal setting skills that she has been able to transfer these into other parts of her life.

Milo is a legend of the club and role model for all our juniors throughout the Magic organisation, Milo will continue to play for the is great club as long as she can and we wish her and the girls all the success possible in 2010 and beyond.
