Tigers host CNG Cup

THE Willetton Tigers host the Cockburn Cougars in the Community Newspaper Group (CNG) Cup round this Friday night.

Each time the clubs meet they play for the respective men’s and women’s CNG Cups, established to recognise the greater support given by CNG to both clubs and to mark the local rivalry between the clubs.

In April’s inaugural CNG Cup round at Wally Hagan Stadium in Cockburn, the Tigers won both times.

The Cougars will be out to avenge the Tigers women who triumphed 80-46, and the men who won 97-73, in Friday night’s return leg fixture at the Willetton Basketball Stadium.

The women’s match starts at 6.30pm and the men’s at 8.30pm.

On Saturday the Tigers travel to Mandurah to take on the Magic.
