Hulme & Pass claim Player of Week honours
Hulme and Pass will receive $50 vouchers for PowerPlay Sports in Subiaco as a result of outstanding performances last weekend.
The Giants captain was inspirational in ensuring his team would make their seventh straight playoff appearance by defeating the ATD Stirling Senators 120-82.
In 33 minutes on court the guard had 34 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. In an impressive shooting display, Hulme converted 3/4 shots from inside the three point arc and 9/16 from outside.
Southlands Willetton Tigers and newly signed Wildcats guard Cameron Tovey along with Buccaneers big man Ben Pepper were also in consideration for the weekly award.
Pass claimed the Women’s award having led the Cougars to a 2-0 weekend, their first back to back wins for the 2010 season.
The former Lynx player and Cougars English import had 16 points (on 50% shooting) and 8 rebounds in the Cougars upset 73-56 victory over the Mandurah Magic.
The forward backed that up the following night with a 16 point 9 rebound effort in her sides 52-40 victory over the Eastern Suns.
Southside Mitsubishi Redbacks centre Marita Payne and Southlands Willetton Tigers guard Kate Malpass were also considered for their week 18 performances.
