Positive growth from the men’s team

MANDURAH Magic men’s coach Jason Chalk is feeling pretty happy about the team’s performance in this year’s season. While the team failed to make the playoffs Magic have made a significant improvement over their 2009 season.

The team had 10 wins under their belt at the end of the season, only missing out on some key opportunities.

The Magic had four overtime losses this year which if they had finished in Mandurah’s favour, they would have made the playoffs.

Chalk said the overtime losses were “heartbreaking”, but the wins were still enough to bolster the team’s overall confidence.

“We’re used to four wins in a season,” Chalk said.

“To have 10 wins is pretty positive for us.”

Chalk said import Casey Crevelone had been on of the players who helped bolster Magic’s performance.
