Last chance for Wolves (Joondalup Weekender)

WANNEROO Wolves skipper Greg Hire is backing his side to not let Perth Redbacks off the hook again when they meet in Game 2 of the State Basketball League quarter-finals on Friday night.

The Wolves have a huge task to recover from last week’s 118-109 loss at Joondalup Basketball Stadium and push the series into a third and deciding match on Sunday.

The second match and third match (if required), will be at Belmont Oasis and Hire said his side must learn from Game 1, when the Wolves led by 16 points early in the last quarter before losing.

“I think we thought the game was won, which can’t happen in a play-off game against a quality side,” he said.
