Hawks re-sign SBL Head Coach Dion Dagostino
This will be Dion’s third year at the helm, where he has taken the team to a 2009 Grand Final appearance in his rookie year as coach, and to the Quarter Finals in 2010.
The former Hawks player is a 268 game veteran of the SBL with 244 of his games being played at Perry Lakes. Having now been involved in over 300 SBL games, his experience will help guide the young Hawks outfit.
In his first two years of coaching Dagostino has a 32-20 win-loss record at the Hawks and two sixth placed finishes.
Over his two years Dagostino has brought together a group of young players, along with some veterans, to form a team which is committed to improvement and to playing attacking basketball.
The Hawks Board and members look forward to Dion continuing this development and success in 2011.
