Competition Administrator (Position 1010-1)

An outstanding opportunity has now become available to work for Basketball WA. Reporting to the Community Basketball Administrator, this full-time management position will be responsible for administering the Senior Domestic Competition for Basketball WA. This exciting and challenging role will involve:

• Planning and delivering a best practice Senior Domestic Basketball competition at the Western Australian Basketball Centre.
• Developing strategies to grow and develop the Basketball WA Senior Domestic competition.
• Maintaining and recording the Court booking schedule for all basketball related court bookings at the Western Australian Basketball Centre.

This position is well suited to a strategic and creative thinker who is a “self starter”, has an abundance of energy and has excellent leadership and management skills. Excellent relationship building and written and oral communication skills are essential, as is the ability to produce high quality documentation and achieve desired outcomes within a specified timeframe.

Experience in the areas of marketing, technology and sports management are desirable.

State Development Network Administrator (Position 1010-2)

Reporting to the Basketball Development Manager, this new, part-time management position will be responsible for administering the State Development Network for Basketball WA. This exciting and challenging role will involve:

• Managing Basketball WA’s State Development Network program with the aim to increase participation in basketball at the grass-roots level. This program is designed to deliver introductory basketball clinics and fun basketball experiences to primary school students throughout Western Australia.
• Liaising with, developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with key stakeholders, including Primary Schools, Program deliverers and other partners.
• Managing Basketball WA’s State Development Network sponsorship and grants program and enhancing existing relationships to build stronger partnerships with sponsors and funding organisations.

This position is well suited to an organised and meticulous person who is self motivated, energetic and has excellent leadership, communication and management skills. Outstanding relationship building and written and oral communication skills are essential, as is the ability to produce high quality documentation and achieve desired outcomes within a specified timeframe.

Experience in the areas of sports management and administration are desirable.
