Breaking the grind

Ray Evans believes an opening road trip is just what his players need to sharpen their 2011 State Basketball League campaign.

The Buccs kick off the season on Saturday, March 19 against Mandurah, with a trip to Cockburn the next day.

Buccs coach Evans rated the trip as a great opportunity to put an edge on the axe, ahead of a four-game run at home.

“You’re never going to be playing your best basketball that time of year,” he said.
