Rockingham vs. Kalamunda Game Postponed
The State Basketball League has today had to postpone the Rockingham Flames and Kalamunda Eastern Suns game scheduled for this Friday 15 April.
Additionally the Rockingham Flames and SKILLED Goldfields Giants game scheduled for Friday 22 April will be relocated, with details to be confirmed this week.
The league originally had to relocate the first two Rockingham home games from the Mike Barnett Sports Complex due to unsuitable scoring systems for SBL. The venue managers have since advised the club that the scoring systems will not be updated to host the Flames next two home games.
“We have been working closely with Rockingham for several days to ensure that the game on Friday 15 April could be played at a suitable venue. Unfortunately all other venues were unavailable to host the game” said Competitions Manager Christian Rice.
“As a result we have no other option available to us other than to postpone the scheduled fixture.”
“This is a very unfortunate circumstance for Rockingham and one that is out of their control.”
The SBL has already identified a number of dates to play the game and is working with both clubs to find a suitable date.
The league will release details for both the rescheduled game and the relocated game as soon as they are available.
