Doug Gates & Andrew Bowman reach SBL milestones
The State Basketball League congratulates Doug Gates & Andrew Bowman who last night reached SBL milestones.
Wanneroo forward Gates, has spent eleven season at the Wolfpack, playing every year since 2001.
Gates has career highs of 17.96 points and 7.4 rebounds in 2005.
The Wolves have had a great year in 2011 and Gates and his team mates will be looking for their fourth play-off appearance in a row.
Bowman suited up for game number 200 last night against the South West Slammers in Eaton.
The milestone will be recognised next week when the Magic host the Flames, with Bowman having spent five of his nine SBL seasons at Rockingham.
Bowman has career highs of 16.85 points (2008) and 9.3 assists (2010), both with Mandurah.
In 2011 Bowman will look to lead his Magic team to the finals for the first time since 1999, having made the finals three times in his time with the Flames.
Both milestones will be recognised by the SBL at the teams home games next week.
