Rockingham vs. Lakeside clash moved

The Rockingham Flames have announced that their Week Seven home game against Lakeside Lightning has been relocated to the WA Basketball Centre.

The game, on Saturday 30 April, has had to be relocated due to the scoring systems still not being upgraded at the Mike Barnett Sports Complex.

“This is something that is unfortunately out of Rockingham’s control, the stadium is managed by YMCA Perth and owned by the City of Rockingham” said Competitions Manager Christian Rice.

“The Rockingham Flames continue to work through this issue with stadium management and the council to ensure that the facility meets SBL requirements.”

This is the fourth game to be relocated from the Mike Barnett Sports Complex this season with another game being rescheduled to Friday 13 May.

Rockingham have now played three of their home games at the WA Basketball Centre with last weekend’s game being played at the Ray Owen Sports Centre as part of a country double header.

The next Rockingham home game on Friday 6 May against Willetton is also in doubt with the stadium scoring systems not expected to be upgraded in time.

Further updates will be forthcoming.
