Round Seven WSBL Power Rankings

Check out the teams most likely to challenge Willetton for the title with the round seven women's State Basketball League Power Rankings.

1. Southlands Boulevarde Willetton Tigers (1st place, 9-0 record) - Showed just how dominant they can be with a 25-point thrashing of Mandurah. Could continue their unbeaten run for a long time.

2. Total Connections Perry Lakes Hawks (3rd, 5-2) - Didn't play in round seven as their men's side headed to Geraldton, but face a tough test next week with matches against the Wolves and Lightning.

3. Glasscraft Wanneroo Wolves (2nd, 6-2) - Bounced back from a heartbreaking loss to Willetton the previous week with a comfortable win over the Senators. Will get a good indication of where they're at when they host the Hawks on Friday.

4. Mandurah Magic (4th, 5-3) - Received a bit of a reality check with their massive loss to Willetton and will be desperate to get back on track when they host Stirling.

5. Australian Central East Perth Eagles (5th, 4-4) - Still have a lot of work to do, as shown by their loss to the Senators, but have the potential to beat anyone on their day.

6. Perth Redbacks (8th, 4-5) - Have lost two straight after a disappointing home loss to Kalamunda, but should find consistency soon. Could drop out of the top eight with a loss to Wanneroo though.

7. Kalamunda Eastern Suns (6th, 4-4) - Earned a much-needed win over the Redbacks, which broke a four-game losing streak. Will be dangerous if they can get their rhythm back.

8. Metropolis Fremantle Cockburn Cougars (7th, 4-4) - Amazingly the Cougars still haven't won consecutive games this season. Will have to find some consistent form to stay in the top eight, let alone contend for the title.

9. Lakeside Lightning (9th, 3-5) - Have bounced back from a nightmare start to win their last three and could climb into the eight if they upset Perry Lakes. The Lightning have improved significantly in just a few weeks.

10. Western Stainless Stirling Senators (10th, 3-6) - Showed how dangerous they can be with their win over the Eagles, but good results have come too inconsistently for them. Will be happy to still be in touch with the top eight though.

11. Southwest Slammers (11th, 1-6) - Had the bye as the Slammers' men played in Goldfields and will be hoping to upset Cockburn or Kalamunda next week.

12. Rockingham Flames (12th, 0-7) - Lost their two games on the weekend by an average of 28.5 points. Next week's clash against the league leaders could get ugly unless the Flames show big improvement.
