Willetton and Perry Lakes set for top-of-the-table clash (Round Nine WSBL Preview)

Title favourites Southlands Boulevarde Willetton Tigers and Total Connections Perry Lakes Hawks meet in a critical round nine women's State Basketball League clash on Friday.

Willetton leads the league with a 10-1 record but suffered its first loss of the season last weekend and could be vulnerable against the Hawks, who sit in second spot after winning their last seven games.

The two sides also met in last year's Grand Final, where the Tigers comfortably prevailed, and Perry Lakes will be out for revenge at Willetton Basketball Stadium.

Perry Lakes also faces Metropolis Fremantle Cockburn Cougars, who climbed up to sixth spot after winning consecutive games for the first time this season last weekend.

Glasscraft Wanneroo Wolves and Mandurah Magic will be looking to consolidate their top four spot when they play on Saturday.

The Magic have won three of their last four to overtake the Wolves for third spot, while Wanneroo has lost three of its previous four games and will be desperate to get back on track.

Australian Central East Perth Eagles will be high on confidence after beating Willetton last week and will be hoping to continue their momentum when they battle Lakeside Lightning.

The Eagles could move into the top four if they beat the Lightning, who sit outside the top eight after Perry Lakes ended their three-game winning streak last week.

Western Stainless Stirling Senators' finals hopes were dented with losses of three of their last four and they'll be looking to get back on track when they meet Kalamunda Eastern Suns.

The Suns, who are in seventh spot, also meet winless side Rockingham Flames, who lost their two games last week by an average 68-point margin.

Southwest Slammers have lost eight straight but will be confident of beating Rockingham for the second time this season.
