Round 10 MSBL Power Rankings

1. Lakeside Lightning (1st place, 11-2 record) - Coped with Ben Beran's injury with few problems and are now back at full strength. It's hard to see them not finishing first and they deserve to be title favourites.

2. Wanneroo Wolves (3rd, 11-4) - Are on a roll with four straight wins and are an excellent chance to finish in the top two. Their title hopes will receive a major boost if rumours of Brad Robbins signing with the club turn out to be true.

3. Cockburn Cougars (2nd, 11-3) - Their tremendous improvement is a testament to the great work of coach Stephen Charlton, but everything would have to fall into place for the Cougars to beat Lakeside in the postseason.

4. Total Connections Perry Lakes Hawks (4th, 9-5) - Were in tremendous form before losing to East Perth last week, but recent performances indicate they're a true title contender. The addition of Peter Crawford may upset team balance, but if they can get things right, they'll be tough to beat.

5. Southlands Boulevarde Willetton Tigers (6th, 8-6) - Their hopes of back-to-back championships received a massive blow with the news Cam Tovey will likely miss the whole season with injury. But with Knight, Jones, Moore, Cassir and Kampman, one of the league's best imports, they still have a very talented side and have a chance of winning the title.

6. SKILLED Goldfields Giants (5th, 8-5) - As always, the Giants are difficult to beat at home, but until they can put together some good form on the road, there will still be sceptics. Their three-game road-trip in June will be a true test of their title hopes.

7. Perth Redbacks (7th, 6-7) - Are giving up far too many points and have been getting dominated on the boards against the best rebounding teams, but those problems should be fixed when Jesse Wagstaff returns. Could go a long way if they can gel in time for the playoffs.

8. ATD Stirling Senators (8th, 6-7) - Their inconsistency and their road form are both legitimate concerns, but they're still a talented team. Should consolidate their top eight spot with wins against Rockingham and the Slammers this week.

9. Australian Central East Perth Eagles (10th, 5-8) - Last week's win against Perry Lakes delivered a much-needed confidence boost and showed they could be big improvers with the addition of Drew Williamson. Could do some damage if they sneak into the eight.

10. Mandurah Magic (11th, 5-8) - Have the potential to be a dangerous team if they can get Casey Crevelone healthy and in-form by the playoffs, but getting into the finals may be a challenge. Taylor Mullenax has done an incredible job for the Magic in recent weeks.

11. Kalamunda Eastern Suns (9th, 6-8) - With the league so tight between spots seven and 13, any run of poor form can see a team slip away. A third straight loss to East Perth this week would be a major blow.

12. Sun City Plumbing Geraldton Buccaneers (13th, 4-9) - If they can't beat Mandurah on Saturday, they'd need a miracle to miss the playoffs for just the second time. Have the talent, but for whatever reason it just hasn't worked.

13. Rockingham Flames (12th, 5-9) - It's hard to see a side recovering from such a poor streak to make the playoffs and their finals hopes will be all but over if they can't beat Stirling or Perry Lakes.

14. Southwest Slammers (14th, 0-14) - Aren't as bad as their winless record suggests and should win at least once this season. With a tough schedule over the next few weeks, their much-needed victory is unlikely to come soon though.
