Round 10 WSBL Power Rankings

1. Southlands Boulevarde Willetton Tigers (1st place, 12-1 record) - Still clearly the benchmark of the league despite losing to East Perth a couple of weeks ago. The battle is almost certainly for who plays the Tigers in the Grand Final.

2. Mandurah Magic (3rd, 8-3) - Since the addition of new import Hailey Dunham, the Magic have looked a much more complete team, with several scoring options. Their two games against Perry Lakes will be highly anticipated.

3. Total Connections Perry Lakes Hawks (2nd, 9-3) - Showed some impressive spirit once again to beat East Perth in the dying seconds last week and continue to put up good results. The Hawks are definitely an excellent chance for the Grand Final.

4. Glasscraft Wanneroo Wolves (4th, 8-5) - Copped plenty of criticism in recent weeks but bounced back in style last week with comfortable wins over Southwest and Kalamunda. Should consolidate their top four spot with victory against Lakeside.

5. Australian Central East Perth Eagles (7th, 6-5) - Their inconsistency may be difficult to explain, but they're the one team to knock off Willetton this year, suggesting they can beat anyone on their day. It will be tough for them unless they can sneak into the top four though.

6. Metropolis Fremantle Cockburn Cougars (5th, 7-5) - Another side which has been plagued by inconsistency, but that is to be expected with a young team with several new players. But their improvement has been remarkable and they could finish in the top four.

7. Kalamunda Eastern Suns (6th, 7-5) - Their convincing loss to Wanneroo was quite a surprise, but before that game they'd shown some impressive form. Will be desperate to get back into form with victory against East Perth.

8. Perth Redbacks (8th, 5-6) - Have really struggled of late, losing three of their last four, and will need to turn things around quickly to ensure a top eight finish. Victory against Cockburn would consolidate their spot in the finals.

9. Lakeside Lightning (9th, 3-7) - Unless they can cause at least one upset victory this weekend against Perry Lakes or Wanneroo, their finals hopes will be almost certainly over.

10. Western Stainless Stirling Senators (10th, 3-8) - Have the perfect weekend to get back into finals contention with games against Rockingham and Southwest, but will need to vastly improve for the rest of the season to make the top eight.

11. Southwest Slammers (11th, 1-11) - Eleven straight losses tell quite a picture, but it's far from inconceivable they win again this season. This week's game against Stirling may be their best chance.

12. Rockingham Flames (12th, 1-11) - Apart from their shock victory against the Slammers a couple of weeks ago, have looked well off the pace all season. They've conceded by far the most points and also have scored the fewest, which is never a good combination.
