Week Eleven PowerPlayer of the Week

Lakeside Lightning Centre Jarrad Prue has claimed his first PowerPlayer of the Week award of the season after guiding his team to wins over fellow top-four sides Perry Lakes and Wanneroo to put his team two wins clear on the top of the ladder.

Prue grabbed the award over Perth Redbacks star Adrian Majstrovich to claim the Week Eleven $50 voucher to PowerPlay Sports in Osborne Park.

Prue scored nine points from 4/5 shooting along with an enormous 29 rebounds as his side beat the Hawks 86-75 on Friday night. That was backed up with 6 points and 19 rebounds on Saturday night in the 105-83 win over the Wolves to bring his season average to an unparalleled 19.5 rebounds per game.

Runner-Up Majstrovich was equally impressive in his team’s 92-83 upset win over the second placed Cougars, scoring 32 points and pulling in 17 rebounds in a dominant display.

Glasscraft Wolves Centre Ainsleigh Sanders has won her first PowerPlayer of the Week award of the season after leading her team to a win over Lakeside on Saturday night.

Sanders edged out Metropolis Fremantle Cockburn Cougars Forward Emma Pass who led her team to 69-60 win over the Perth Redbacks to keep her side comfortably inside the top-8.

Sanders was a dominant force with 15 points, 16 rebounds and four assists in 30 minutes, as her side beat the Lightning 77-70, which was also the Wolves third straight win.
