Week Twelve PowerPlayers of the Week

Total Connections Perry Lakes Hawks Forward Ben Purser has claimed his first PowerPlayer of the Week award of the season after helping guide his team to a win over Goldfields to cement his team in the top four.

Purser received the honours over fellow Hawk Anthony Lee to claim the Week Twelve $50 voucher to PowerPlay Sports in Osborne Park.

Purser scored 16 points from 8/14 shooting along with 21 rebounds and seven assists as his side beat the Giants 94-85 at the WA Basketball Centre on the Foundation Day public holiday on Monday.

Runner-Up Lee was equally impressive in the win, scoring 36 points including seven three pointers and pulled in 16 rebounds in a dominant display.

Metropolis Fremantle Cockburn Cougars Forward Emma Pass has won her first PowerPlayer of the Week award of the season after leading her team to one win and one narrow loss in a double header over the weekend.

Pass edged out Lakeside Lightning’s Courtney Bayliss who led her team to 91-49 win over the lowly South West Slammers to keep her side with a chance of making the top-eight.

Pass was a dominant force with 18 points and 14 rebounds as her side beat the Eagles 63-53, and then tried gallantly to pull out a win over the Wolves with 25 points and seven rebounds, but her side went down by one point, 67-66.

17 year-old Bayliss was unlucky to miss out on this week’s award with 23 points, 17 rebounds and an impressive eight steals to lead her side to their forth win of the season.
